Welcome To Mindfulness Cognitive Therapies Welcome To Mindfulness Therapies I am passionate about supporting people to live happier, more fulfilled lives through Mindfulness based therapies and Person Centred Approach (PCA) counselling. I am a full member of the British Association for Counselling Psychotherapy (BACP) and work under supervision. I have recently completed a foundation course in Mindulness Integrated Cognitive Therapy (MiCT). This approach to therapy integrates the foundations and principles of Eastern Mindfulness and the Western evidence based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). Many emperical studies have shown the effectiveness of MiCT in promoting behavioral change and growth for people to live more meaningful and purposeful lives. It has been successful in facilitating change and growth with long standing conditions such as depression and anxiety. Mindfulness is becoming an increasingly 'hot topic' in psychology at the moment. It is well respected as a powerful therapeutic intervention for successfully managing depression, stress and anxiety. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is a very effective mindfulness-based therapy which has been proven to achieve results with supporting empirical evidence. It is also an effective intervention that can be used for life coaching. ACT was featured on BBC Radio 4 psychology programme entitled: "All in the Mind" https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m000bmyf The mind and body are interconnected and research shows that many illnesses arise when our bodies experience a state of ‘dis-ease’. Stress, anxiety, depression and chronic unhappiness can have a major impact on our health and wellbeing. I believe that we all have the resources within us to achieve behavioural change and the sessions that I deliver are committed to your achievement. My coaching and therapy programmes aim to remove the barriers and limiting beliefs that hinder the change process, allowing you to live a happier, more meaningful and valued life.
